Tom Eisenmann founded Convivial in 2016 after more than 20 years of experience in a variety of retained executive search, internal talent acquisition, and compensation consulting roles in various industries. Tom started his professional life as an inner-city middle and high school teacher in New York for five years.
His focus has been in life sciences since serving as R&D talent acquisition lead at Alexion Pharmaceuticals from 2011-2014. He also served as head of talent acquistion operations, playing a lead role in building operational capacity sufficient to support Alexion's growth from ~750 to over 2000 employess worldwide in just over three years. Since that time, he has provided similar recruitment and operational support as an external consultant to several innovative, high-growth biopharma companies, generally in the greater Boston/Cambridge and broader New England areas.
He is a 2016 graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he focused on employment law. He has also earned a BA in History from Fordham University, MA in Religion from Yale Divinity School, and a MS in Information Science from Long Island University. He has attained the SPHR designation from the Society of Human Resources Management; the Retirement Plans Associate and Compensation Management Associate designations from the International Foundation for Employee Benefits; has completed Executive Compensation training from World@Work, and passed two levels of the Certified Equity Professional designation from the Certified Equity Professional Institute/Santa Clara University.
He has lived in New Haven, Connecticut since 2011 and is active in his local community, serving on the on the Board of Directors for Hart United, a nonprofit offering a range of housing and other programs serving the developmentally disabled in the Greater New Haven area, committe member and chair of his son's Boy Scout/Cub Scout troops, and as Parish Council President of Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church in New Haven.
